Identity Leather Craft Terms & Conditions of trade

Prices – all prices are, where applicable, inclusive of VAT. Prices quoted supercede all previously published lists and all orders are accepted subject to prices ruling at time of despatch. Any changes in VAT regulations or rates will be applied at time of sale.

Products can sometimes vary from the picture shown in terms of packaging or labelling for example and we will correct at the earliest opportunity.

Orders can be placed through our web site www.identityleathercraft.com, by telephone, post, email or in person. We accept payment of orders by debit or credit card and PayPal through our web site and independently of our web site, payment can be made by direct bank transfer, PayPal, credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Visa Electron), postal orders and cheques payable to The Identity Store Limited, or by cash. If using an order form with our catalogue and paying by debit or credit card, please ensure that you enter your 16 digit card number, valid and expiry dates and security code (last 3 digits on magnetic strip on reverse of card).

All bank charges either within the UK or overseas will be met by the customer.

Selling – once an order is received, we will do our utmost to despatch within 48 hours of receipt. Should there be any reason for a delay, we will notify by email or telephone. Once despatched you should expect an order within 5 working days and where applicable tracking detail will be issued.

Carriage/Delivery – standard UK delivery charges will be:

  • For orders up to £20.00 - £3.75
  • For orders £21.00-£50.00 - £6.00
  • For orders £51.00-£80.00 - £8.00
  • For orders £81.00 and upwards - £10.75

We will generally use Royal Mail for orders under 2 kilos and carriers for orders over 2 kilos in weight. Should an item be especially urgent then we can send by signed services that can occur additional costs. A very few items on the website are subject to additional carriage costs due to weight or the chemical nature of the item and this will be indicated with the item and at check-out.

International shipping charges will be indicated at the check-out page dependant upon the country selected.

International Shipping Charges:

  • For orders up to £20.00 - £7.50
  • For orders between £21.00-£50.00 - £13.50
  • For orders between £51.00-£80.00 - £18.50
  • For orders over £81.00 - £27.50

Please note that PO Box numbers are not accepted by carriers and in the event that you wish to use one, please contact us and we will try for a satisfactory solution.

You are responsible for any customs, duties or taxes imposed by your country. The Identity Store Limited or its subsidaries Identity Leathercraft or Identity in Printing will not issue refunds where you did not receive your order because you failed to pay customs, duties or taxes imposed by your country.

Amending an order if you wish to amend an order please contact us immediately and we will do everything possible to accommodate a change prior to despatch. If you would like to add products to an order, you can place a new order for these items, we will be happy to combine and refund postage where feasibly possible.

If you need to change details of your delivery address, remove items or cancel your order completely please contact us and quote your name, order number and order date.

Returns

We are confident that you will be satisfied with your purchase from The Identity Store Ltd and it’s website www.identityleathercraft.com. If you are not, we will replace the product, refund or issue a credit note providing the returned goods are still in their original packaging and have not been opened or any part of the item(s) missing. If goods are returned because the customer has changed their mind then this must be done within the 14 day period which is the right of the consumer under the Distance Selling Regulations and a refund must be made within 30 days by the seller for the cost of the products initially ordered and the carriage paid to send the order. The seller is not responsible for the carriage to return an order.

Care must be taken returning goods particularly leather which should not be left near heat sources or in damp conditions and must be protected and any creasing kept to an absolute minimum. If goods are received back either without original packaging or in poor condition, we reserve the right to make a decision on the value of the returned goods and refund only that part of the value. We will notify you by email or telephone should this be the case.

In regard to Identity in Printing, The Identity Store’s leather printing, bespoke and personalisation business, product return will not be accepted nor refunds given for any part of the order once the customer gives permission for their work to commence.

If goods are received in a faulty condition we must be notified within 48 hours and we will be responsible for recitifying the situation either in replacement or receiving said goods back and refund. If we are not notified until after this period, we will work with the customer to a satisfactory conclusion.

We will aim to process any return within 7 days of receipt however in very busy periods this can take up to 14 days. Also your bank may take up to a further 7 days to show a transaction on your account, therefore we ask that you allow up to 21 days from the date that we receive your return for a refund to appear.

When returning any goods to us, we recommend that a recorded delivery service is used and that you keep a record of posting as we cannot be held responsible for packages that fail to reach us. Please also check with the Post Office/Carrier that your return is adequately insured against loss or damage.

If returning a clearance/reduced item(s), any refund due will be communicated at our discretion unless the item is proven faulty.

If returning an item from overseas, please ensure that the postage is paid in full and is clearly labelled ‘Returned Goods’ to avoid any import duty levy from HM Customs & Revenue for which we will not be liable.

No products are sold on a sale or return basis under any circumstances.

Non Arrival/Lost Items If an order has not arrived within an expected time frame we would ask that you check with neighbours or contact your local Royal Mail delivery office in case they have tried to deliver but forgotten to leave a card. If a carrier has been used you will receive tracking information by email and will normally receive an order within 48 hours of despatch, please check the tracking and if a non-arrival occurs please contact us immediately.

Weights, Measures and Quantities All weights, measures, quantities and sizes are approximate.

Changes

We may change these Terms of Use at any time. Any changes will take effect as soon as they are posted, meaning that you will be bound by such changes. To ensure that you are aware of our most up to date Terms of Use, you will be asked to read and accept our Terms of Use each time you place an order. We also recommend that you print and keep a copy for your records. To print, please press CTRL + P.

We may at any time make changes to this Website and the details displayed on it including prices.

Although we try very hard to ensure that all information on this Website is accurate, occasionally errors may occur. If we discover an error in the description of a product that you have ordered, we will let you know and ask whether you wish to continue with your order or cancel it. If we discover that a product's correct price is lower than our stated price, we will charge you the lower amount and send you the product. If a product's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatch or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.
