Workshops and Seminars
In these challenging times finding new approaches to how we teach our leathercraft classes has required some creative thought. In March we ran our first trial workshop, spending a morning making a hand stitched leather book journal and midori.
There was a lot to consider but the morning was a success, thanks in big part to the willingness of the participants to be guinea pigs.
As a result we are putting together a small programme of further online classes in the coming weeks and we are also looking at running some shorter technique based sessions, for example “How to Edge Finish Leather” and “How to Dye Leather”.
Online classes use the Zoom platform and participants do need a smart phone, tablet or laptop with a camera. Packs of tools and materials are sent out prior to the day. The classes will continue to be kept small to around four-five people so that everyone has the chance to keep up together and to ask questions.
